Food Magazine Shoot

Karen and I did the make-up for a couple of chefs for a Food Magazine shoot last week. I actually came from the Cosmetologie fair at SMX before heading to the model units of Park Terraces at Greenbelt that day. Over all it was a good day filled with all things make-up. I had fun. Will post photos of the shoot when I receive the magazine. :)

Enjoying Manila With Carlos

Enjoying Manila With Carlos

Carlos doing his thing
Taking a break from the usual make-up posts just cause I enjoyed this tour so much. Last weekend I signed up to join the Intramuros tour by Carlos Celdran. I was with my niece Colette, her boyfriend Justin and my sister Jika. It's Colette and Justin's first time in the Philippines so it's perfect to take them with me. They loved it and kept talking about the experience until we dropped them off at their condo at the fort.

The tour started at Santa Clara street with all of us singing the Lupang Hinirang, the perfect introduction :) Then we walked around Fort Santiago, stopping once in a while to sit on the grass to watch the one man theatre that is Carlos Celdran. After that we were told that we could choose to either walk, ride a kalesa or a pedicab for free to the location of the old Ateneo de Manila which was just a couple of blocks away. The tour ended at Barbara's where Carlos treated everyone to a cup of halo-halo. I honestly could go on this tour again and again without getting sick of it, it's just that good. I can't wait to watch Livin' La Vida Imelda when my schedule free's up. For tour dates and rates visit Carlos' website here.

Teacher Cherie is a school directress at The Little Apprentice Preschool in Alabang. I did her hair and makeup for another Hinge Inquirer shoot. Thank God this one was done in Alabang and just minutes away from my home. Will post more photos hen they send me the magazine. :)

Jane Kingsu-Cheng Marketing Manager for Forever 21 Philippines

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work on an advertorial shoot for a magazine. Kriselle from Hinge Inquirer somehow managed to get my number, I don't know how or who gave it to her, but she did. haha! I was actually hesitant to do it at first because she called super late, I think it was around 11pm and I was even out partying at Kyss that night for a good friend (Rjay's) music video launch. (Read about that here) I was tossing and turning In bed that night and ended up with just 30 minutes of sleep. I was burning brain cells watching by Jersey Shore the whole time. haha!
Anyway, I arrived at Forever 21 Makati at 8am even if my call time was 9 just so I could try to sleep in the car. It did not work!! Started working at around 10 and finished a little past 11. Pretty good if you ask me considering my body was running on coffee. Now enough about me!

I did hair and makeup for Jane Kingsu-Cheng Marketing Manager for Forever 21 Philippines. I love her! She's so pretty, friendly and had so many nice stories to tell. She used to be an editor for a couple of magazines and now she maintains a weekend fashion column for Manila Bulletin and is also a blogger. (Visit her blog here)

I did her hair too :)
